Financing

Australian Water has proven experience in delivering project financing for water infrastructure. Over the last 18 years, Australian Water has successfully organised the financing of water infrastructure in the sum of $630 million. This water infrastructure has been delivered over the course of  three stages and plays a key role in securing a growing city’s water supply.

Our continued commitment and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder demands to arrange private sector funding mechanisms for the delivery of large-scale water infrastructure means that Australian Water is uniquely placed in the market.

With the confidence that Australian Water is able to structure and arrange the private sector funding of water infrastructure for urban land release and development, government can act with certainty (less risk) to repriortise scarce funding to other areas, accelerate land release programs, improve housing affordability and stimulate economic growth and confidence.

Australian Water is committed to providing value for money to its customers, the community and government in all aspects of its operations. A key element in delivering value for money is Australian Water’s ability to adapt and innovate given changing industry and market regulations and economic conditions. Our funding models have withstood the test of time and have helped create vibrant and sustainable communities.
